From St. Pete Beach to Dunedin to Tampa and everywhere in between, TBWK staff and volunteers monitor water quality. We use our monitoring data to track trends in water quality, identify and mitigate pollution sources, strategically prioritize restoration efforts, and identify potential human health risks. Our data are relied on by state and federal agencies and are used to support our policy and advocacy efforts region-wide.
OUTREACH AND EDUCATION
Healthy, fishable, swimmable waterways will not be possible without a committed and engaged community. TBWK works to inspire people of all ages to understand the threats facing the bay, what we’re doing to protect our bay, and how the community can join in that effort.
It may not be as cool as testing water quality, but our behind-the-scenes office work is just as essential to pursuing our mission of clean water. We would love your help, whether you can commit to a few hours for one day, or you’re looking for a few hours a week.
